Projectile motion: Shoot for your bonus
Formal lab write up.
Do not make any reference
to distance, velocity or acceleration without specifying horizontal or vertical.
You will lose credit for each time that you do not reference horizontal or
vertical.
- Answer all of the preliminary questions.
- Additional preliminary
question.
- Sketch out the
horizontal velocity vector of the bearing in flight.
- What is
the acceleration in the horizontal direction while in flight?
- Sketch out the
vertical velocity vector of the bearing in flight.
- What is
the acceleration in the vertical direction while in flight?
- Build and include both data tables.
- Show your calculation with the units for the time of flight.
- Show your calculation for the distance in the X-direction.
- Answer all of the analysis questions.
- Attach the lab cover
sheet, with my initials, on the back of the write up if your group got
the bonus
point. No lab cover sheet - no points.
- Portfolio assesment: Use
mathematical models developed from data to predict the behavior of a system
outside the realm measured. (Standard 6: Key Idea 5.1.).
